The Student Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center (SRAC) is a facility that allows students at SJSU to exercise in several general purpose exercise/weight/cardio type gyms, and also to perform sports like water polo in an Olympic size outdoor pool.The facility replaces the existing, aging complex which no longer adequately supports the Universities long term goals.
The new facility features:
- Five workout areas: 20,000 ft2 of cardio & strength equipment
- 3 full-court gyms for Basketball, Volleyball, & Badminton
- 4 exercise studios for Yoga, Spin, GRIT, & Aerobics
- 1/8-mile Indoor Track
- Rock Wall & Bouldering Area
- 50-meter Lap Pool
- Recreation Pool with Sundeck & BBQ Area
