This six-story, 60,000 SF all-electric academic building will expand the Berkeley City College campus with classroom and office space aimed at low-energy and low-carbon goals. The mechanical design includes a custom dual-fan-dual-duct AHU with MERV 15 filtration, served by air-to-water heat pumps. Taylor Engineers provided M&P design services for this design/build project including HVAC system selection support, detailed BOD documentation, and criteria specifications. The controls scope was done as full plans and specifications, with Taylor Engineers providing all scope.
